We are really enjoying the VRBO condo we’ve rented in San Antonio. It is a one bedroom, one bathroom unit in a renovated candy factory, the Judson Candy Factory. While it is not quite as cool as if there was a conveyor belt bringing freshly made candy directly into the kitchen, it has been working out quite well.

A view of the kitchen. The hallway on the left leads to a small bedroom, large closet, and bathroom, and the entrance to the apartment.
The apartment is quite a bit smaller than the Savannah loft, and not nearly as sunny, but it is a thousand times quieter and there is secured parking, a fitness center in the basement, and an outdoor (though unheated) pool. And while the condo may be smaller, the layout is quite nice and is a good fit for the two of us. We’ve also appreciated the fast internet, large HDTV, and extended cable with DVR.

The living room and table (which we've turned into a desk) and the large, north-facing windows, which overlook the pool area.
And its location is very convenient, easy to connect with the highways and just a two block walk to the River Walk. And once we are on the River Walk, it is just about a half mile to get to downtown San Antonio and the Alamo. Overall, we’ve been really pleased with both the VRBO rentals, and both owners have been very easy to work with and exceedingly nice. We would definitely recommend checking out VRBO if you are looking for a week or longer stay somewhere, and plan to continue doing so ourselves!
