We love the dunes at Tybee Island Beach. And the weather forecast this week is so nice, we'll definitely be heading back out to the island again!
Martin Luther King Jr. Day in Savannah
- Our day started with a parade! Savannah’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Parade came right down Broughton Street.
This was the style of the typical float, though this one made me laugh, as the kid laying on the center platform looked a bit less than alive.
We then headed out with Buddy to Fort Pulaski National Monument, about 15 minutes away.
The Fort has an honest-to-goodness moat all the way around it, complete with drawbridges!
Justin, hanging with the pigeons on the top of the outer wall. "Catching a pigeon" was not checked off his bucket list today.
The fort only has a dozen or fewer cannons in their original positions. It must have been quite the site to have this space filled with them!
An absolutely beautiful-weather day to take in some history and fun.
